Wrestling Documentaries that i have seen recently....with rating!!! My Wrestling Documentary library comes from Netflix so i can watch even the ones i normally wouldnt..this gives me a chance to find out whats what and whats good or not!!! I am Not going to rate these in the Traditional way...Oh no,for this i have invented a new rating system... Lacky......Fat Fatterson,Brisco,Virgil et al!!! Jobber......Pete Rose,Pez Whatley,Lee Scott etc.... Marked Jobber......Mike Sharp,Brawler,Horowitz etc.... Midcarder.......Mike Rotundo,Brutus Beefcake,Disco Inferno etc..... Star........Kane,Abyss,Rhino,Rob Van Dam etc....... Headliner.......Styles,Edge,Big Show,Mysterio,Angle etc.... Megastar..Flair,Undertaker,Sting,Hogan,Foley,Austin etc........
First up is a doc all about the Big Show..Called A Giants World .. This is a very very interesting behind the Giants life warts n all doc.. From Beginning in WCW up to present day.. This will make you giggle and laugh out loud as Paul is extremely funny and the interview in his tour bus will have you outright belly laughing!!! A Great hour well spent.... RATING...........Headliner
Next up is a doc all about The Rise and Fall of WCW.. I have seen this before but watching this again reminds me what a Fubar it was that someone dropped the ball by allowing the Ego's and Megalomaniacs to control what was a superstar making factory in the asking....Why End Golbergs run mid flow???(Nash wants punching!!) This is just one of many Questions that gets answered in this intriguing documentary that make a true fan extremely sad that WCW went out of buissness... RATING............Headliner
Next is a doc that i would normally watch but i thought what the hey..it's free!! It was called Rey:The life of a Masked Man I went into this doc thinking not much at all but was pleasantly pleased by the content and the interview sections as Ray is a mark for all things wrestling and when he talks about the Old school Luchadors, you can tell he grew up with posters of them on his wall.. When he talks about Mil Mascaras he is overwhelmed and guenuine.. The full matches on this Include Ray versus Eddie,Jericho and others and are all stunning technical Clinics... 2 HOURS WELL SPENT RATING..........Megastar

Rey... I hate him for sullying Eddie's memory. Speaking of wrstling documentaries, you need to watch The Rise And Fall Of ECW next. It's a brilliant, passionate treatment of a subject dear to my heart. Wrestling would not have survived the nineties were it not for ECW. They may have had a shoestring budget and played in nesbit bingo halls etc, but the fire in hearts of the fans and wrestlers alike made ECW seem more like a big gypsy family than a company.
I am glad I lived through this era, and can say I am an honest mark for the likes of 911, and Big Dick Dudley, and Super Crazy, and Little Guido, and Tracy Smothers, and Justin Credible, and Sandman, and Shane Douglas, and Prime Time Brian Lee, and The Quintessential Studmuffin, Joel "Last night I split your 44 year old mother in two, and did her like a pair of 22 year old twins" Gertner, and Mikey Whipwreck, and Sabu, and New Jack, and Lance Storm, and Rhino without the "Y", and most of all Taz without the extra "Z".
Paul E. might have cut his teeth in WCW managing the likes of Steve Austin and Arn Anderson and Bobby Eaton, but when he decided to break out on his own and take charge of the fledgeling Eastern Championship Wrestling, he not only unwittingly ushered in a new era of wrestling, but came to define it by the end of the nineties.
It's far from a look back through rose-tinted glasses, this film. But shows how disillusioned the talent was becoming with the whole industry, and how they found a purpose and a place in history with the father of extreme, Paul Heyman.
Disc two is great also, and is essentially a highlight reel of complete matches. Awesome.

Just re watched Beyond the Mat and it never fails to amaze me how Megalomaniacal(is that really a word, but it fits!) Vince is...he has power and he knows it!!
The Jake segments are still very very disturbing to me as his is a fall from grace that for such a superstar of the 80s should never have happened? He's a very troubled soul!!
The Documentary overall is a masterpiece and watching over and over you see different wrestlers in the background that you didn't know were in it the first time around...Poor Curryman???
Overall i still give this doc a solid Headliner for it's realness and showing what a twat vince can be by making Droz upchuck to impress him...(i cant stand Droz by the way!!)

Halleluyah!!! Hail Odin etc!!! ;D I have just seen a Refreshing Amazing Documentary called "Card Subject to Change"...Dude this Will be one of your favorites i bank on it... This is a doc about a small New Joisey Independent Promotion Called NWS Wrestling which gets a lot of Old Scool Wrestlers including Kevin Sullivan,Kamala,King Kong Bundy,Percy Pringle, And Hardcore Legends such as Sabu,Balls Mahoney,Danny Doring,Axl Rotten,Necro Butcher etc... And Up and comers like Trent Acid(who died just after this was made!) and Rhett Titus... This isnt a feel good documentary by any means,i like to call this type of doc a Realamentary...This isnt fake and shows warts an all what you would never see 15 or even 10 years ago when it was near impossible to find out wrestlers real names let alone see them interviewed out of character... Speaking of interviews this doc holds you on the solid interviews alone with the likes of Sullivan,Bill Apter,Superstar Billy Graham, Jim Cornette,Tom Pritchard,Terry Funk and a super straight but highly hillarious Necro Butcher(this guy had me in stitches and needed several during the making of this including some Surgery i'm sure..) Giving Super Insights and Showing Knowledge of a Proffesion that they all clearly love and cherish...even if that love can break your back and leave you a drug addled loner at any given time(Trent Acid comes to mind!!) And on top of this there is super footage of indi boughts with some x-rated gore from the likes of Mahoney and Necro Butcher included... This is a well made and well written Documentary which gave me back my love for a sport(sic!) that i have loved more than any other In my life...(of course its number 2 behind MMA now of course!) But,This doc gave me a regeneration of my love for Wrestling that was nearly lost by watching over paid over Ego'd Wannabees from the wwe... My rating is an Excellent but sometimes sad and sometimes funny 9.2/10 or a Headliner on the rise(ala Goldberg during his 117-0 run)
