I will have to wait for another weeks until the KD album is in stores. Lucky English (by the way: what happened in Sheffield? It looked like a New Orleans cover city this weekend..) Been listened to and seen on stage (lately): Blackie Lawless and Mike Duda performing a full length version of "Chainsaw Charlie" and "The Burning Man" which is my favourite on the new CD A surprisingly excellent band of Thunder who played all their hits from "Backstreet Symphony" over "Higher Ground" to a moving interpretation of "Love Walked In" A very strong Hammerfall gig. As I am not really a fan they were really able to convince me on that day. Butler, Iommi, Dio, Appice....."Die Young", "Sign", "Children", "Voodoo" very satisfying, but I had too high expectations and they only played for about 75 minutes. Toby and Edguy, always good for a lavatory party. VR playing seven (!) songs from "Vicious Rumors", "Welcome to the Ball" and "Digital Dictator". Good for me. Dark Tranquility with a straight show that included many songs from "Damage Done" and "Haven". Good for me, too. These are only the highlights. Add all the other bands and the camping field parties and you see me counting the hours to WOA. I already bought the "Surf Nicaragua"- T- shirt.

Damn, I grew out of my Surf Nicaragua shirt about fifteen years ago... I saw Reich almost blow Sepultura off the stage in Nottingham back in 88, or was it 89?Awesome gig.
Gonna see Sabbath - yes, it's Sabbath to me, even more so with Lord Ron - in November. It will be a dream come true, and leave only one dream gig left for me, Lord Ron and Lord Richie together again. I have convinced myself it WILL happen before either I die, or Dio retires. Let's face it, Dio is immortal, so I've already lost in the longevity stakes.
Been a bit brutal in Sheffield, Grandma. Got hit hard Monday while I was at work. Spent all day mopping out and watching people being rescued across the road by Sea Kings. Could not believe the coverage it got on the news when I got back home Monday night. Even FOX news and CNN were reporting on it. Caught the odd glimpse of our factory on there a couple of times, which seemed rather surreal. Then to top the night off, I found out one of my wrestling idols, Chris Benoit had died. Found out the next day though, that he'd murdered his wife and kid before stringing himself up. What a cunt.
Thunder... Now there's a blast from the past. I liked them briefly after seeing them supporting Aerosmith on the P.U.M.P. tour. Don't ask me what year, that period of my life is a bit (purple) hazy to say the least. I find Thunder a bit old hat now though.
Speaking of hats, I will bring you a new pin for your hat, Grandma. We must arrange to meet at W:O:A
Keep the Jager on ice - metalBlade yearns!
PS. The new NILE album is just so WRONG! In all the right places. This band gets better and better... and better still with every release.

Oh you are welcome. I'm not listening to anything on my minidisc at the minute. It's fucked. Can't record on it, and now it won't play either. I was listening to Death Angel when it decided to shake a seven.
Mine is the worst thing since the baguette.
My current most played album is Ziltoid The Omniscient by Devin Townsend. It's awesome. The guy is a twisted genius.
