Today marks the one year anniversary of International Slayer Day. 6/6/06 was a day when we celebrated everything about Slayer, which kinda sucked because I was working afternoons this time last year so I could not really do sod all. I think we should celebrate Slayer Day annually, after all they are one of the main reasons I am who I am today, so THANKYOU SLAYER! And strangely enough, I am on afternoons THIS week also, so I've only just got in from work So bollocks to this, I'm gonna listen to Christ Illusion now. Happy (late) Slayer Day to all who care to think about it.

Happy Slayer Day to all you necrophiliacs. I prefer Hell Awaits. The most underrated album if you ask me. Hardening of the Arteries....why do they never play that stuff. I seen them 6 or 7 times and the only song from that album was always the title track. The Slayer setlist is very predictable every year, but still strong, no doubt.

Just listened to Spill The Blood again. Man, what a song.
I think on July 7th of this year we should celebrate King Diamond Day. 7/7/07, seems befitting of The King. I will listen to Abigail 1 and 2 back to back, followed by Them and Conspiracy. and hopefully I will have the new album Gimme Your Soul...Please by then, so that will finish things off nicely.
King D rules.

YES! Can't wait to hold the new album in hands. I think it will come out on July 16th. Saw the King last year. Awesome. We will see if Mental will celebrate, too as he is in the list of disliked bands. But things can change. It is never to late to join the Graveyard Crew. I think I hear THEM comin'...

Do they sell 'Happy Slayer Day' cards? ;D Dunno mate, but it can't be that difficult to make one. *hits PhotoShop* I will definitely make a Happy King Diamond Day card, ready for the 7/7/7 celebrations.

Yes!! I will watch that at my leisure. Did you go to Download Ezzy? I was out at the weekend so I did not get to hear the broadcasts or webcasts or whatever they call them these days. Only seven six weeks till Wacken time again. The sweet sound of Surf Nicaragua will once again massage my finely tuned ear...

I didn't go pal - a couple of my friends did, and they said thay had a really good time. I hear what you have said in the past, that it's too overpriced, and there's not enough decent bands. Trouble is, it's the festival that my mates here go to, so I can see myself going next year. It'll be like an expensive weekend on the piss, with some bands playing one end of a field.
Changing the subject, if I did go to Wacken, how much spending moned do you reckon i'd need? I understand the important things like food and ale (Jagermeister) are not as expensive as they are at UK festivals.

I aim to take about 500-700 euro (admittedly a lot of cash but that's my choice). Then you can grab half a dozen top shirts, some cracking cds from the metal market and still keep yourself alcohol-fuelled for five days solid.

100 Euros per day, plus the ticket (ca. 90), plus train for me, flight for you. Sounds not only expensive, but in fact is. But the Extravaganza is worth it. (The very special thing about WOA is the internationality. Last year I met even people from India and Tunesia!). 3 Euros the beer - this year Beck's which is an excellent choice in my eyes. Official shirts between 20-35. Many goodies at the MeatalMarket. I am a Pinhead which means that I collect pins for my hat and I always went home very satisfied from WOA. The only thing I miss every year is a place where they sell real classic shirts. At Swedenrock they had those maniacs...

It's that time of year again. SLAYER! SLAYER! SLAYER! Yes, it's been awesome at work today. I've had Slayer on all day very loud and nobody had the stones to tell me to turn it down. Good thing too cos I would have just yelled FUCK OFF AND DIE right in their zombified faces.
I don't listen to them every day, but I reckon every Slayer fan needs to set aside time to appreciate the masters. 6/6 every year works for me.
Roll on King Diamond Day next month!

Wow, it is that time of the year again. A lil late, but HAPPY SLAYER DAY to all of you. I celebrated this special day this year with the mighty Ministry in Sweden. They had a steelcage built around the stage. Freaks, man. On every camping field the last scream you hear in the night is SLAYYYYYYYYYYYER. Sometimes even in a King Diamond voice. Cheers.
