Just watched a movie called Lady in the Water
and may i say a very well acted(almost play like)
well filmed and well made film...BUT.........
What the Hell does M.Night dream about at night?
My god, this man has a very vivid imagination that is very out of left field to say the least..And..he plays a writer who is told when he will die in this one, what the hell!!!
Just look at his other movies and you get a better picture.
First off i loved The Village this has more strangeness in it than a big box of very strange things!!
Next theres the very Creepy Sixth Sense that is a mind bending spook fest that gets better the more you see it!!
And now to Signs and all i can say is "He Knew,he knew then and he knows now!!"
Ahh!! Now we have The best M.Night movie so far and that is
Unbreakable which is a Tour De Force of anti hero's and Anti heroes(you'll get this if you've seen it.)
Willis and Jackson shine as mirror images of the same persona and the stairs scene will make even the most hardened Fanboy wince every time you watch it even though you know it's coming.
A most excellent pre cursor to Hero's the TV show that I'm afraid to say never came up to par after season two, with the exception of Silar of course.
Hero's tries but fails to do what Unbreakable did and thats to show a Honest to goodness real Hero with Human frailties..
Bravo Mr M.Night Bravo..
We will However have to mention the debacle, the very well made but what the hell happened to the ending The Happening ,Oh dear oh dear..i suggest if you have not seen this to stop it 5Min's from the end and make your own ending up as that will be much better than the non entity that is the real thing, what was he smoking this time..
Oh well, one bad egg in amongst all those golden gems isn't bad i suppose...
And if your wondering?? what the M and Night stand for, well he was born Manoj Nelliyattu Shyamalan
and i don't blame him for changing it either, hehe!!
Here's looking forward to the next strangeness from Mr Shyamalan who is quickly becoming one of my favorite Directors and i feel he has a very big fanboy loving movie up his sleeve somewhere..
May i mention a possible Swamp Thing movie or a
Close Encounters Redux with Paul Giamatti as the eponymous role of Roy Neary and this time we could have a more up to date Grey's/Abduction Conspiracy theme but still sticking with the whole heart of the original of course..
The more i think about it the more i know that Giamatti would be perfect in Dreyfuss's shoes...
